On June 2, 2010 at 3:09 PM officers were sent to Target, 621 W. Edgar Rd. on a report of a shoplifter fighting with security. Officers spoke to Loss Prevention personnel who stated that they observed Elianna Duncan, female, age 23, of Staten Island, N.Y., on security cameras place several items of clothing, value $115.00, 　into her handbag and attempt to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. When she was detained by the exit, she began to fight with a security guard, biting his hand, scratching his face with her nails causing a skin laceration, kicking his legs, and spitting at him. The victim refused medical attention. Officers arrested Ms. Duncan and she was charged with one count of robbery, 2^nd degree, and held on $25,000.00 bail. She told the arresting officers that she was 2 ½ months pregnant, but refused to go to the hospital to get checked out. She was taken to the Union County Jail with a court date set for June 9^th.
