PM officers were sent to Advance Auto Parts, 1172 E. St. George Ave. on
a report of a stolen motorcycle at the store. Officers spoke to the
owner of the motorcycle, a male, age 37, from Bloomfield, who told
police that he received a call from a co-worker who told him a
motorcycle similar to his stolen one was at the store. He went to the
store and identified the 2004 Suzuki GSX as his bike. The victim then
pointed out an individual who he said he saw riding his motorcycle into
the parking lot. The suspect, Christopher Garcia, male, age 21, of West
New York, NJ, told officers that he had been "test driving" the
motorcycle for the last two days after it was given to him by someone
named "Danny" in Newark. Mr. Garcia was placed under arrest and charged
with receiving stolen property. His bail was set at $15,000.00 and he
was transferred to the Union County Jail with a court date set for June
2nd.
