On
April 13, 2010 at 4:23 PM officers were sent to the Kohl’s Department
store, 1901 E. Linden Ave. on a report of a vehicle fleeing a
shoplifting incident. Officers were told by Loss Prevention that three
females entered the store, acting suspicious, and split up in different
directions. The females scooped up blouses, fragrances, and a brown
handbag and met in one dressing room where they stuffed the merchandise
into their purses. They then hurriedly left the store where loss
prevention encountered them in the parking lot. Their vehicle, a 2005
Chevy Equinox, was observed leaving the store and heading into Elizabeth
by Linden officers where it was subsequently stopped with the assistance
of the Elizabeth Police. The merchandise was recovered from the
suspects. The females, Alyssa Aponte, female, age 21, Stephanie A.
Feliciano, female, age 19, both of Rahway, and Camille N. Parker,
female, age 19, of Linden, were charged with indictable shoplifting, the
items valued at $256.42, with a county court date set for April 21,
2010. The three females were released on summonses. Their vehicle was
towed from the scene.
