On
March 20, 2010 at 10:48PM officers took a report of a vehicle damaged by
a bullet. The victim, male, age 27, of Linden, reported that at 10:30PM
while he was stopped at a red traffic light on N. Stiles St. and W. St.
Georges Ave. in his 1997 Toyota Camry, he heard what sounded like two
gunshots. He then heard something strike his vehicle. He then drove to
his home and saw that he had a small hole in his driver door which he
believed to be from the gunshots. He stated that during the time he was
stopped at the traffic light, a midnight-blue late model Ford Mustang
and a sporty white BMW 535 passed by the intersection when he heard the
gunshots, but he never saw a gun nor did he see any occupants of the
vehicle. Police searched the area for shell casings, but did not recover
