On March 7, 2010,
officers responded to the 400 block of Helen St. on a report of a
vehicle damaged by BB pellets. While at the scene, they were informed
that two additional vehicles were also damaged. The three vehicles, a
2006 Nissan, 2003 Ford wagon, and a 1997 Ford wagon, had windows damaged
by BB’s sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. The value of
the property damaged is unknown at this time. Officers were later called
to the Mango Thrift Store, 453 N. Wood Ave., a block away from the Helen
Street location, where they were told that 10 BB pellets struck their
front window to the store damaging it. Detectives will be reviewing
video footage from the store for leads. Anyone with information on these
