On March 1, 2010 at
1:23 PM the victim, male, age, 70, was collecting cash receipts from
several gas stations when he saw one of his tires on his car was going
flat. He then pulled into the Gulf service station at N. Stiles St. & W.
St. Georges Ave. to get a spare tire from his trunk. He then placed a
nylon bag with several thousand dollars in cash on the seat of the
vehicle. Minutes later, he went to get the nylon bag and discovered it
was missing. An inspection of the tire revealed it was slashed on the
sidewall by a sharp object indicating it may have been deliberate. There
were no suspects observed. Anyone who may have witnessed anything
unusual or any information, call Det. David Dehler at 908-474-8537 or
