On 01/12/2010 at
approximately 4:50 PM a shooting occurred at the intersection of Bower
and East Henry Streets. Four Linden residents, two adults and two
juveniles were walking at the aforementioned location when they were
approached by a motor vehicle. According to the victims, the vehicle
which was occupied by three unknown black males stopped and the rear
seat passenger opened fire with a handgun. The victims report that six
shots were fired and they began to run from the vehicle. The vehicle
which was only described as a newer, dark blue, four door vehicle with
tinted windows fled in an unknown direction. There was no further

fire. The 17 year old was shot once in his upper back/shoulder area, and
the 16 year old was shot in the left leg, with the bullet exiting and
then striking him in the right leg. The other two individuals were not
struck. The victims were transported to University Hospital in Newark
