LINDEN, NJ, June 1, 2018 -- Linden Mayor Derek Armstead, yesterday, spoke at the Legacy Square groundbreaking for the Super Walmart and other retail spaces that are being developed on the former General Motors location on Routes 1 and 9 (Edgar Road). Legacy Square is being developed by Cypress Equities.
The Mayor was joined by City officials, residents, Jim Coyle President Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce, and senior executives from Cypress Equities.
Legacy Square was Linden’s third redevelopment project breaking ground within the past week, transforming the city into one of the most active in Union County when it comes to redevelopment. The other redevelopment groundbreakings were Citivillage @ St. Georges Avenue hosted by the Ramani Group and Meridia Lifestyles II on Wood Avenue hosted by Capodagli Property Company.
