10.17.2017 - Information From Public Leads to Narcotics Arrests
Three men were arrested following a three-month narcotics investigation that culminated late last month.
Juan Tavarez, a 21-year-old Linden resident, and Erik Colon, a 22-year-old Perth Amboy resident, are charged with narcotics distribution after Police seized marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms.
The investigation began after local residents noticed suspicious activity and alerted police. The arrests were made after members of the Linden Police Department Narcotics Bureau, assisted by members of the Union County Prosecutor's Office Guns, Gangs, Drugs, and Violent Crimes Task Force and Roselle Police Department Narcotics Bureau executed a search warrant on the 500 block of W. Curtis St on September 28, 2017.
10.26.2017 - Man Arrested for Burglary of Local Businesses
A Rahway man has been charged in connection with a series of burglaries to local businesses.
Henry Hayes, 46, is charged with multiple counts of third-degree burglary and criminal mischief.
A month-long investigation led by Detectives Kevin Mikolajczyk and Michael Burnette identified Hayes in connection with burglaries/ to the US Fried Chicken & Pizza (1200 E. St. George Ave) on September 15th, Meat City (240 E. St. George Ave) on October 6th, The Smoked House (239 E. Elizabeth Ave) on October 8th, and Dunkin Donuts at the 76 Gas Station (101 N. Park Ave) on October 13th.
