04.13.2016 - 21st Anniversary of Operation Chill at 7-Eleven
The 7-Eleven Store chain is celebrating the 21st anniversary of Operation Chill in conjunction with law enforcement agencies in the region.
As part of the program, police officers are provided with coupon booklets for a free small-sized slurpee available at any local 7-Eleven store. The coupons are to be used as “tickets” given to any youngster who the officer observes doing a good deed or exhibiting a positive behavior. The program is dubbed “Slurpee Patrol”.
Linden officers are participating in the program and hope to be rewarding local youths with the “tickets” during the upcoming months.
