We have been advised that the City of Linden will be impacted by two significant weather events. The first will be a rain and wind storm starting later this evening
and it may last until Saturday. Since there is a strong potential for flooding, high winds, and power failure, it is advised that you complete your storm preparations now - secure loose outside objects, make sure you have sufficient food, water, batteries, supplies, prescriptions, medical items etc.
For those in low lying or flood prone area it is strongly suggested that you begin your flood preparations now. Such preparations may include making sure sump pumps are working and moving items that might be affected by flood waters to higher elevations. The second event is Hurricane Joaquin. At this time the hurricane’s exact path is uncertain but will affect the City of Linden with additional rain and wind and possible flooding and power outages. Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
